Science in the sun!
Join us at this free festival to have fun learning science! The event will feature hands-on exhibits and live entertainment, held in conjunction with MarineQuest, an annual open house sponsored by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.
The festival is designed as a fun-filled "carnival of science" for families. You can explore the excitement and wonder of hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), and learn the benefits of science in everyday life.
And be sure to meet Bay News 9 meteorologist Mike Clay and learn how to forecast the weather.
Major sponsors include: USF St. Pete, The City of St. Petersburg, NOAA, USGS, Secrets of the Sea, Florida Fish and Wildlife, yourmembership.com, USF College of Marine Science, Alfred Sloan Foundation, Duke Energy, Draper Laboratory, Eckerd College, Science Festival Alliance, St. Petersburg Ocean Team, St. Petersburg College, Harvard Jolly Architecture, Tampa Bay Times, WEDU, Clear Channel Outdoor and Bay News 9.
